The power of music: Korngold's violin Concerto

Nothing can reach the innermost depth of the soul and take the imagination on a journey of unreachable hights  like the power of music. Listening to Korngold's exquisite violin melodies, a picture of extreme joy and at the same time extreme sadness. Here is my picture that I will now share with you, but you must try to listen to Korngold's beautiful Violin Concerto, movements one and two, to
grasp the sheer emotive energy of his music.

I am standing on the cliff above the rough sea, with the warmth of the sunlight on my face. Looking
out to sea, I search for the ship that my father promised to return home in and, sadness at his failing to return, I grow weak and helpless. I want to scream out above the waves with the pain of loss.  Silence falls...
For he is now in the hands of God and I am empty inside.

Years goes by, and I return to the same cliff top. There is a man standing at the same spot at which I stood, but it is not my father, but someone resembling him in  personality  and spirit.  I  am filled  with  love for him  and  I know  that  God  has  sent me  someone  very  special  to heal  my
wounds and broken heart. The man smiles, we kiss, he holds my  hand  and  contentedly we  walk the cliffs under the bright stars in the moonlight. True love has filled my heart and his and I am whole again...
