Sail away

Sail away, across the mighty oceans,
Sail away, sail away with me,
Ready about leo, watch your head on the boom,
feel the spray of the salty water setting you free...
Sail away, into the evening sunset,
Anchor steady for the night,
the gentle rocking motion
and waves lapping against our boat,
as we wonder into blissful sleep...
we're off again just you and I,
In a force eight gale, we pull in the sail,
but brave the elements, standing fearless
against all odds.
Sail away, across the foamy sea,
sail away, sail away with me,
close hoard with the ropes pulled tight,
Racing 60 knots
yet timeless,with endless energy.
Will I go alone, or will you take the helm,
And guide me to a better life, under the
sun, moon and stars.
Then farewell, for if you will not guide our boat,
I must go alone,
and make friends with the ocean creatures,
and find a land of my own...

All my poems reflect the effect a person can have on your life over a period of time. The ups and down at crucial moments when the only outlet of self expression is to put what you feel directly down in words without premeditation. I look forward to reading your articles too.
