How Would You Know and Why Should You Care?

How would you know
that since that day
she has been spiraling downward in every way,
And her brain has lost it's ability to think

and everyday she is losing her will
and every hour she is increasigly ill.

How would you know
and why should you care,
when you are far away
and never there?

Yet you draw all her energy,
steel all her breath,
and leave her crying
without any zest.

How would you know
why should you care
now that your gone
and she's no longer there.

Once they were friends
at least that what she thought
but love and affection cannot be bought
And the more she fell
the more you fought,

and now the hard lesson
is cruelly being taught

But how would you know
Why should you care?
