Robot (to Be Read While Listening To "Hello" By Evenescance.)

Wake up,
get dressed
clean teeth,
drive to work,
teach
eat,
return home,
sleep,

Day in day out
with no word
no hello, no goodby
nothing giving reason to feel
no reason to unlock the door
to all the emotions contained within.

Trapped in a Robot,
And only the Robot can set her free.
Maybe days, months, years who knows?
Only he does.

And the echo of silent pain
resonates in the hollow body of the robot's frame,
but no-one hears, for the power of telepathy
is not responding and communication is dead.

Fighting with no strength,
longing but with no hope,
waiting for nothing to appear,
wanting but not receiving

So, the Robot becomes a hiding place
the resolution to an unfought battle
to gain back the right to feel,
to breath fresh air,
to hold the hand of one she loves,

Robot, at least if you can't feel,
respond to the vibrations of her voice
and set her free.
