Wrong Time, Wrong Place, Wrong Person

Something seeming so perfect,
so real, so beautiful,
Shatters and withers,
through lack of care and understanding,

But can it be helped,
when the seeds were planted at the
wrong time, in the wrong place
and by the wrong person.

Wrong time
a decade too late,
Wrong place
Where the earth is furthest from the sun
Wrong person,
facing one way, but
never face to face.

So the time passes
the gap becoming wider
and the distance longer
and increaingly unreachable.
The seeming face of love, beauty and perfection
distant, cold, intagible, and shared affection
impenetrable.

Spring and glorious summer
is without return,
born of the the wrong place, wrong time and wrong person.

Fading in the distance, the sun going down, the darkness casts shadows
and the night is long and unforgiving. Then the memory withers and there is nothing to recall why or how, where or when, by whom...
