Drained emotion

Give me a potion for drained emotion
That not even rest can restore
Not much further to slip
weak unable to grip.
I slide like a slate to the floor.
Purpose there's none,
for what does it matter,
what we do or what gets done .
Here one moment and gone the next.
You won't care, nor you nor you
so why should I...
If I laugh or if I cry...

that must matter, I'll keep up the going!
Maybe I'll help the people that matter
and meaning will restore
and even idle chatter.
Helping others can put meaning back into your life when you have lost it, but to help others youneed to help yourself.And when you get to a certain level of drained emotion think about the real things you need in life to bring you back to the surface.
