A Snake in Wolf's clothing.

Rapacious plunderer.

Hidden under the cloak of love.

Sits in wait behind the open door of the honest heart,

The fraudulent beast intrudes inch by inch,

With words

seeming sincere,

the wolfish beast chants incantations

congruent with its

prince-like mask.

Layer by layer it shreds it's skin, like a chameleon,

changing face, while digging deeper and deeper

with its insatiable appetite. Till suddenly the Asp retreats

and slithers away, leaving the honest heart empty and lifeless.

Thought for not just a day:
It cannot be reiterated enough how vunerable the everyday user of the internet is. While seeming an excellent source of communication, there are dangers that one must constantly be reminded of as we grow more familiar and comfortable with this medium. When we use the internet, we are not just walking down our local street to the pub for a chat and laugh and a pint. We are entering an open door to the world 24/7. We are walking down blind alleys we have never been before. What is most scary is that we are also allowing our children the wonder the internet unprotected. More supervision has to be put in place to make sure our kids are safe on-line.
